One of my best friends and climbing partners. He was elite in almost everything. We pushed it to the edge in the mountains together. We got very good at calculated risk and had a few close calls. I was in the Middle East when I received the phone call that he died of an accidental overdose of painkillers. Still feels so wrong and off.
